On-site precision: our measurement technicians in action.

Our measurement technicians are on the job wherever a reliable district heating supply requires the highest precision. This time, their journey took them to the Überseeinsel in Bremen, where one of Germany’s most innovative urban districts is taking shape on the former Kellogg site.

Historic industrial buildings, including the former vitamin warehouse, have been integrated into a sustainable energy concept. The large-scale heat pumps installed there harness the environmental heat stored in the Weser River and efficiently feed it into the district heating network.

To ensure that this infrastructure operates reliably over the long term, our metrology technicians conducted inspection measurements, including fault location, on the new district heating network.

TDR measurement technology makes it possible to precisely locate anomalies in the monitoring system. This allows faults to be quickly isolated and specifically resolved, an important prerequisite for safe and reliable grid operation.

We are pleased that our measurement technology is part of a project that impressively demonstrates how industrial history and sustainable energy supply can be successfully combined.
