New: Smart-Cover-Box LTE – Simple Monitoring for Critical Infrastructure Structures
LANCIER Monitoring is expanding its portfolio with the new Smart-Cover-Box LTE—a compact and cost-effective solution for monitoring tasks in locations where power supply and data connectivity have traditionally been a challenge.
Manholes, manhole covers, distribution boxes, and other infrastructure structures are often located in remote areas and lack their own power supply. At the same time, there is a growing need to detect conditions, unauthorized access, or flooding early and reliably.
This is exactly where the new Smart-Cover-Box LTE comes in. The battery-powered measuring station features two independent contact inputs—for example, for float switches or access contacts—as well as an integrated temperature sensor. Status and measurement data are transmitted directly to the control center via LTE. Depending on the transmission interval, the replaceable battery can last for more than five years.
LANCIER Monitoring thus offers a practical solution for a growing challenge: integrating decentralized infrastructure facilities into central monitoring in a simple, cost-effective manner without the need for complex cabling.
