Data Privacy Statement for the processing of applicant data
in accordance with Art. 13 and 14 GDPR
We are delighted that you are interested in us and are applying, or have applied, for a position in our company. Below we would like to provide you with information on the processing of your personal data in connection with your application.

2. Categories of applicant data
If you apply online via our website, we will initially record your last name, first name and email address. Under the heading “Documents” you can upload your CV and other documents such as your covering letter, references and other supporting documents.
If you send us your application documents by email, the documents you attach such as your covering letter, CV, references and other supporting documents will be stored and processed. All the information you send us will be stored in our system in full and in the original form.
If you submit your documents to us in person or by post, they will firstly be digitised and then saved in the same way as if they had been sent to us electronically. If any documents are missing we can request these later and also add them to your record.
3. Purpose of processing your applicant data and legal basis
We will process your applicant data to assess your suitability for the current vacancy and if applicable for other vacant positions within our company, and to carry out the application process. The legal basis for this processing is Article 6 Paragraph 1. (b) GDPR. If you have agreed to your application being stored and passed on for future positions beyond the current application process, the processing of your data will take place on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 (a) GDPR.
4. Categories of recipients
After we have received your application, your applicant data will be reviewed carefully by the HR Department. Suitable applications will then be forwarded internally to the department managers with responsibility for the respective vacant positions. The further process will then be agreed jointly.
Within the company, the only persons who will have access to your data are strictly those who require it for the smooth running of our application process.
5. Data transfer to a third country
No transmission to third countries is planned.
6. Transmission of applicant data to third parties
No forwarding of your data to third parties will take place, and there are also no plans for this.
7. Storage period of personal data
We will process and store your personal data as long as is necessary for the fulfilment of the purposes of the processing or for the performance of contractual, legal or statutory duties, in particular in accordance with the General Act on Equal Treatment [Allgemeines Gleichbehandlungsgesetz (AGG)]. Once these purposes have been fulfilled, the data will be erased or processing of the data will be restricted.
If no employment contract comes about after the conclusion of the application process, or if you withdraw your application, we will erase your data after six months. If you have consented to the further storage of your personal data, they will be transferred to our applicant pool, where they will be erased after the expiry of two years.
If as a result of the application process you are awarded a position, your data will be transferred to the personnel files.
8. Rights of the data subject
You have a right (pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR) to be informed by the data controller about the personal data concerning you, as well as to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), and to restriction of the processing (Art. 17 Para. 1. GDPR). You further have the right to object to the processing (Art. 21 GDPR) and the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
If you would like to make use of these rights, please contact the Data Protection Officer named above. The same applies if you have granted your consent to the collection or use of personal data and would like to withdraw this. You can withdraw such consent at any time with future effect by email or letter.
9. Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe that the processing of your personal data is taking place unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. A list of the supervisory data protection officers and their contact details can be found at

Nonetheless, we recommend first contacting our Data Protection Officer to clarify any ambiguities or issues directly.
10. Automated decision-making
Your applicant data will not be used for automated decision-making or profiling.
11. Data security
We take comprehensive measures to protect your data and prevent misuse from external sources. This includes among other things SSL encryption, firewalls, hacking prevention programs and manual security measures. The SSL encryption is active if the lock symbol is displayed in your browser and the URL starts with “https://”.
We reserve the right to adapt the Data Privacy Statement at regular intervals to the underlying data processing processes or on the basis of modifications of the legal bases.
