The form “they” is used throughout this text to make it easier to read, but the information applies to persons of all genders.
Data protection information
We are delighted that you are interested in us and are applying, or have applied, for a position in our company. Below we wish to provide you with information about the processing of your personal data in connection with your job application.

Which of your data do we process, and for which purposes?
We will process the data you have sent to us in connection with your job application to assess your suitability for the position (or for other vacant positions in our company as applicable) and to implement the application procedure.
What is the legal basis for this?
Within the framework of the application procedure, we will process the personal data you have provided to us to initiate an employment relationship on the basis of Art. 88 GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 Para. 1 BDSG in the version in force since 25.05.2018.
If, after the application procedure has been completed, the data are required for asserting our legal rights where applicable, data processing can take place on the basis of the provisions of Art. 6 GDPR, in particular for safeguarding our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 (f) GDPR. Our interest then consists in the assertion of, or defence against, claims.
How long are the data stored?
We will process and store your personal data for as long as is necessary for fulfilling the purposes of such processing or fulfilling our contractual, legal or statutory duties. The data will subsequently be erased or the processing will be restricted.
If no employment relationship comes about after the application procedure has been completed, we will erase your data after six months. If you have consented to further storage of your personal data, we will incorporate your data into our applicant pool. The data will be erased there after two years have expired.
If the application procedure has resulted in your being awarded a position, your data will be transferred to the HR file.
To which recipients are the data disclosed?
After your job application has been received, your application data will be screened by the HR Department.
Suitable applications will then be forwarded internally to the department managers responsible for the vacant position concerned, and the further process will then be agreed.
Within the company, the only persons who have access to your data are strictly those who require this for the proper course of our application procedure.
We do not plan or undertake any disclosure of your data to third parties.
Your rights as a “data subject”
You have the right to information about the personal data concerning you that we have processed. If your request for information is not made in writing, we ask for your understanding that we might request details from you confirming that you are the person you say you are.
You also have the right to rectification or erasure or to the restriction of processing insofar as you are entitled to this by law.
In addition you have the right to object to the processing within the framework of the legal requirements. The same applies to a right to data portability.
The right to information and the right to erasure are subject to the restrictions in accordance with Sections 34 and 35 BDSG.
Right to complain
You also have a right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR in conjunction with Section 19 BDSG).
